Piura: Trabajadores agreden y retienen equipos de periodistas en obra del Gobierno Regional

Los periodistas Anali Valencia del portal Norte Sostenible, Frank García de La Hora y Arturo Sandoval de Temis Perú, fueron víctimas de agresiones físicas, hostigamiento y retención de equipos de trabajo por parte de personal de la constructora Diamante Jubers S.A.C. El incidente ocurrió mientras cubrían el volcamiento de un camión cisterna en una obra ejecutada por el Gobierno Regional de Piura.
En declaraciones a la Oficina de Derechos Humanos de la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas del Perú (ANP), Valencia señaló que los hechos sucedieron este viernes 30 de enero alrededor de las 9:00 de la mañana.
La reportera se encontraba en el centro de Piura reportando el accidente cuando fue abordada inicialmente por una trabajadora que intentó prohibirle el registro de imágenes.
Al iniciar su transmisión en vivo, la situación escaló violentamente: un obrero, instigado por sus compañeros, le increpó que no estaba permitido grabar y le arrancó el equipo de trabajo, apagando el celular y pausando la transmisión de manera forzada.
Pese a que la periodista se encontraba en la vereda sin obstaculizar las labores, otros dos trabajadores se acercaron para retirarla del lugar. Al intentar continuar con su reporte identificando a la constructora responsable, un tercer trabajador, de forma más violenta, volvió a arrebatarle el equipo y lo trasladó hasta una motocicleta lineal.
Durante este lapso, Valencia fue intervenida, empujada y jaloneada por varios sujetos, quienes le lanzaron amenazas intimidatorias como: “Tú no sabes quién soy yo, tú no me conoces, te voy a quitar tu huaco”.
Finalmente, pudo recuperar su celular y culminar su transmisión, en que denunció los ataques de los obreros y trabajadores de la obra, que duraron un aproximado de 8 minutos.
Tras lo sucedido, al lugar llegaron los reporteros Frank García y Arturo Sandoval para sus respectivas coberturas, pero también fueron objeto de empujones y trabas por parte del personal de la obra.
La Asociación Nacional de Periodistas del Perú – ANP expresa su enérgico rechazo a los actos de agresión por parte de trabajadores de esta obra ejecutada por el GORE Piura hacia periodistas que cumplían su deber de informar a la ciudadanía sobre un hecho de interés público.
La ANP exhorta a las autoridades competentes a investigar e individualizar responsabilidades a fin de dar una sanción ejemplar a quienes cometieron este atropello contra el trabajo periodístico.
