1.- Condenar la orden de seguimiento a los periodistas César Romero, del diario La República y Juan Carlos Tafur, del portal de noticias Sudaca. Una decisión de esta naturaleza se encuentra totalmente distanciada de cualquier entorno democrático. Por el contrario, es propia de regímenes que pretenden disuadir y hostigar a quienes cumplen labor de informar en la clara pretensión de identificar sus fuentes.

2.- Dicha práctica constituye un evidente abuso de autoridad por lo que el fiscal que sin causa expresa involucró a los periodistas en la investigación con la evidente intención de darle un marco de legalidad a la videovigilancia y seguimiento a nuestros colegas debe ser sometido a proceso disciplinario de manera inmediata.

3.- Denunciar la permanente instrumentalización de la investigación fiscal para perseguir a periodistas que investigan. Son reiterados los casos registrados por la ANP en los que se pretende violentar el secreto profesional mediante requerimientos fiscales o diligencias hostigantes a sedes de medios de comunicación, tal como ocurrió en su momento con la redacción de IDL Reporteros, el canal Foro TV, en Puno, o con D-Bate Noticias en Piura.

4.- Reiterar la solidaridad con las y los periodistas que vienen siendo objeto de estas condenables prácticas y alentarlos a seguir cumpliendo con el deber de informar, indispensables en circunstancias en que la criminalidad ha permeado el Estado.

La ANP considera que estos hechos no pueden quedar impunes, por lo que exigimos una sanción ejemplar a quienes resulten responsables en todo orden.
