La actividad reunió a periodistas de diferentes provincias de la región Puno, la delegación nacional de la ANP (conformada por dirigentes y compañeras de Lima, Huacho y Tarapoto), una representante de la red Erbol de Bolivia y autoridades locales.
Durante la sesión de apertura del encuentro la compañera Nélida Maquera, presidenta de la ANP Puno, filial organizadora del evento, reafirmó que estos espacios pretenden el intercambio de experiencias y fortalecer la presencia de la mujer periodista en su región.
Las mesas abordaron temas como el rol de la mujer periodista en el Perú, periodismo rural durante la pandemia, el periodismo de investigación en el Perú, retos y desafíos para el periodismo en Perú y Latinoamérica.
Las ponencias estuvieron a cargo de reconocidas mujeres periodistas como Amelia Borjas, secretaria nacional de Género ANP; Graciela Dorado, coordinadora de la Red Aymara Satelital de Bolivia; Paola Ugaz, periodista de investigación; y Zuliana Lainez, presidenta de la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas del Perú.
Asimismo, las ponencias fueron complementadas por comentarios y preguntas de panelistas, hombres y mujeres, de notable presencia local.
En la mirada de continuar los encuentros regionales, la ANP Juliaca asumió el compromiso de ser sede y organizadora del Segundo Encuentro Regional de Mujeres Periodistas de Puno.
Desde la dirigencia de la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas del Perú saludamos y felicitamos el trabajo realizado por la ANP Puno en la figura de su presidenta, la compañera Nélida Maquera, quien organizó este primer encuentro regional de mujeres periodistas que quedará escrito en la historia gremial anepista y de la región.
