La Asociación de Provincial de Periodistas – ANP Huaraz, el Centro Federado de Periodistas de Huaraz, el Círculo de Periodistas Deportivos Filial Huaraz y el Colegio de Periodistas de Ancash unificaron esfuerzos para desarrollar esta importante actividad.
Asimismo, la ocasión fue propicia para exigir celeridad en el proceso judicial por el asesinato del periodista Gerardo Avelino Cochachin Salazar, encontrado sin vida el 26 de abril luego de estar dos días desaparecido junto a su padre. El móvil sería un crimen de odio en el contexto de una aparente relación sentimental, la principal sospechosa se encuentra bajo custodia de las autoridades competentes.

Hasta la Plaza de Armas de esta importante ciudad del sur llegaron representantes de los gremios periodísticos quienes, junto a vecinos y vecinas, se expresaron en papelógrafos compartiendo una breve reflexión sobre la importancia de este derecho.
Desde la dirigencia de la ANP participaron el compañero Galo Medina, secretario general de la Asociación Regional VI, y el compañero Wilberth Zuni, presidente de la ANP Juliaca. Asimismo, se hizo manifiesto el saludo al compañero Alex Calderón, responsale e impulsor de esta actividad en la que sumó esfuerzos junto a la membresía de esta base anepista.
Desde el Comité Ejecutivo Nacional de la ANP expresamos el saludo a la ANP Juliaca por desarrollar esta actividad necesaria, que llevó al gremio a ocupar las calles para acercarlo a la ciudadanía y posicionar un tema de particular relevancia.
